My Chocolate Lab, Brandy, is by far the best pet that I have ever owned my entire life. My husband and I bought her 9 years ago, and she is the best purchase we have ever made. Brandy has a very kind, loyal and innocent disposition. Even at 9 years old, she is still as playful and energetic as she was when she was a puppy. When I walk through the door after a long day at work, Brandy makes all of my problems from the day go away. I look forward to my husband saying “Brandy, give mommy kisses.” Brandy then proceeds to jump up to give me kisses. I think it is so cute how she associates me with “mommy.” I wanted to share some photos of Brandy that I took of her at home while playing catch. She absolutely loves catch and, of course, getting her picture taken.

I am a 36 year old with a bad case of Attention Deficit Order which significantly impacts every aspect of my life, however, I never give up and try to embrace it the best that I can. Piles, messy rooms, disorganization, unpaid bills, poor working memory, forgetfulness, poor time management have become a part of my life. ADD is both a blessing and a curse in my eyes. There are days when I hate it, while on other days I am thankful for it. I have been labeled as organized chaos multiple times and a mess. I have been told to "breathe" and "calm down" so much that I have come to terms with it. If it was not for my 6 years old and husband, I would never be able to find my keys and debit card! I am very personable, intelligent, creative, friendly, and caring yet I cannot keep a teaching job for my life. 9 years and 3 teaching jobs later, I have decided that ADD and teaching just DO NOT mix!!! I hope this blog helps anyone who struggles with ADD, finds my blog relatable. Remember you are not alone... ADD is real and DO NOT let anyone tell you otherwise!! God bless!! “She was elusive. She was today. She was tomorrow. She was the faintest scent of a cactus flower, the flitting shadow of an elf owl. We did not know what to make of her. In our minds, we tried to pin her to a corkboard like a butterfly, but the pin merely went through and away she flew.” ― Jerry Spinelli, Stargirl
